The iconic pinball character, the Black Knight, returns to entertain a new generation of pinball players with the third game in the Black KnightTM franchise, Black Knight: Sword of RageTM.
Players will explore, discover, and unlock the secrets of the Black Knight universe. Navigating through these dark, mysterious, and twisted realms, players will uncover foes, demons, riches, and secrets in their quest against the Black Knight. Stern’s Black Knight: Sword of Rage Pro models feature stunning and distinctive hand-drawn art in homage to this pinball icon. It also features a custom sculpted, interactive, and multi-functional Black Knight bash toy. This interactive Black Knight toy features a bi-directional motorized flail, a glowing RGB helmet with individually controllable expressive lighting to interact and taunt players with custom speech, and a sliding coil-driven shield that will bash and block your shots.
Pro also features the distinct “Magna-Save”, a player-controlled magnet used to prevent a ball from draining, and timed resetting drop targets. Black Knight – Sword of Rage’s playfield layout is new yet derived from earlier Black Knights, providing fast, flowing game play, with all steel and wire ramps. Steve has added great ball interactive toys with the Knight’s flail mech and multifunction shield mech. He has included drop targets, spinning target, and vuks. A retro play mode utilizes classic rules of the original games and has early pinball numeric score displayed on the LCD. Steve has modernized this pinball with the LCD display that has all original animation, with more Steve speech helped by Barenaked Ladies’ Ed Robertson, and music by Brendon Small and Anthrax’s Scott Ian. Lighting and light shows are bought into the 21st century with LED’s, many RGB, white and appropriate red GI’s, and backpanel mounted LED simulated fire burning down the Knight’s castle. For casual players, the game is intuitive. And there is depth for great players.
Complementing the immersive theme and exciting gameplay experience, Stern Pinball’s powerful SPIKE™ electronics hardware system enables high-definition graphics and innovative animations on the high-definition video display. SPIKE™ reduces system complexity and energy usage resulting in enhanced reliability and simplified servicing. The state-of-the-art electronic system also powers a high-fidelity 3-channel audio system that is three times more powerful than audio systems of previous generations.
